NCERT Class 6 History notes Chapter 4- "IN THE EARLIEST CITIES" In this chapter 4 of NCERT we are gonna read about the cities of early times. At that some places before eighty years, expedition took place and archaeologists found the site, and realised that this was one of the oldest cities in the subcontinent. As this was the first city to be discovered, all other sites from where similar buildings (and other things) were found were described as Harappan. :- About these cities : -- These cities developed about 4700 years ago. -- Many of these cities were divided into two or more parts. The west part is smaller but higher called as citadel and the part to the east was larger but lower is simple town. -- The bricks were lasted for thousands of years.
