For preparing english for such exam you should increase your vocabulary. here some words are given which helps you in building your vocabulary.

The Hindu (news paper) vocabulary

1.Torrid(Adjective)गरम
Meaning: Very hot and dry
Synonym: hot, sweltering,
Antonym: Cold, cool, wet

2.Prosperity(Noun)समृद्धि
Meaning: the state of being prosperous.
Synonym:  affluence, riches, opulence
Antonym: hardship, failure
3.Apathy(Noun)उदासीनता
Meaning: Lack of interest
Synonym:  lack of enthusiasm, lack of concern
Antonym: enthusiasm, interest, passion

4.Meager(Adjective)अल्प
Meaning: (of something provided or available) lacking in quantity or quality.
Synonym: inadequate, scanty
Antonym: abundant

5.Desalination(Noun)अलवणीकरण
Meaning: the process of removing salt from seawater.
Synonym: Chemical change, chemical action
Antonym: Salinate, stay
6.Elicited(verb)हासिल
Meaning: evoke or draw out (a reaction, answer, or fact) from someone.
Synonym: extract, evoke
Antonym: disregard, forget,
7.Vague(Adjective)अस्पष्ट
Meaning: of uncertain, indefinite, or unclear character or meaning.
Synonym: indistinct, indefinite
Antonym: clear, certain
8.Exaggeration(Noun)अतिशयोक्ति
Meaning: a statement that represents something as better or worse than it really is.
Synonym: overstatement, overemphasis
Antonym: play down, understate
9.Encompassing(Verb)शामिल
Meaning: surround and have or hold within.
Synonym: surround, enclose, ring
Antonym: Exclude, leave
10.Drought(Noun)सूखा
Meaning: a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall, leading to a shortage of water.
Synonym: dry spell, dry period,
Antonym: abundance, adequacy
