-- The Earliest people who lived near Narmada were expert collectors and gatherer.

-- The People of Narmada had knowledge regarding the vast wealth of plants in the nearby forests, collected roots, fruits for food and hunted animals like deer, eild goat, rabbit etc.

-- The agriculture is started about 8000 years ago first crops such as wheat and barley were grown at Sulaiman band Kirthar hills:  and was known for rearing animals.

-- Rice was first grown at the north of the Vindhyas Garo Hills & Vindhya was the Center for agriculture.

-- The Civilization of Indus is about 4700 years old and some of the earliest cities flourished on the banks

-- Son, Ganga’s tributary was the center for Magadha Empire and a huge kingdom
