Chapter 2- "ON THE TRIAL OF THE EARLIEST PEOPLE"


In the last chapter of NCERT we read about the people of the old age that they are hunter gatherer and lived near water resources {rivers like Narmada}. In chapter 2 of NCERT "ON THE TRIAL OF THE EARLIEST PEOPLE" we are gonna read about the livelihood of the people of the stone age.



-- People need to find the season of the fruit ripen.

-- They need to find out which part of which plant is edible.

-- people need to move from one place to another for many reason.[reasons in next chapter}

-- We get the knowledge of ancient people by the objects found like stone tools, fossils of the animals, utensil.

-- People always search for good sone to make good stone tools the place where they make tools is known as "factory site".

-- When grassland increase deers, rabbits, goats increase then people think of animal rearing.

-- Many grain bearing grasses like wheat, barley etc are start growing naturally in many parts of the subcontinent.

-- Many caves in which ancient people lived have paintings.

-- In these paintings wild animals and tools are drawn with great accuracy.

-- Ancient tools and paintings are found in all over the world as well as India.
